NEW DELHI JULY 17. Statues of Rabrindanath Tagore, Jyotiba Phule, Swami Vivekananda and Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj and communist leader S.A. Dange, will be among the 13 statues that will be installed in the Parliament House Complex. A decision to this effect was taken by the parliamentary committee on installation of portraits and statues this afternoon. The committee has also decided to install a portrait of K.M. Munshi in the Central Hall, in addition to those of Acharya Narendra Dev, Chaudhary Devilal, Maharaja Ranjit Singh, A. K. Gopalan, Hemu Kalani and Ahilyabai Holkar. A Lok Sabha secretariat press release said the statues were ready and they would be installed soon. Today's meeting was chaired by the Speaker, Manohar Joshi. Among those who attended it were Pranab Mukherjee, Shivraj Patil and Rashid Alvi of the BSP.
