IA plane makes emergency landing
Mumbai
July 17.
An Indian Airlines flight carrying 145 passengers, bound for Pune from New Delhi via Mumbai, made an emergency landing at the Mumbai Airport this morning after the pilot detected some technical snag.
An Indian Airlines official described the landing as ``precautionary.''
``When the flight took off, the pilot detected something and the airport was alerted. The landing was as usual, only that some precautions were taken,'' the official said.
Another aircraft took the passengers bound for Pune. The plane, which flew the Delhi-Mumbai sector, was put through a check.
