Jeffrey Archer released

By Hasan Suroor

LONDON JULY 21. Jeffrey Archer, writer of pulp fiction and former deputy chairman of the Conservative Party, was released from jail today after serving two years of a four-year sentence for perjury and perverting the course of justice.

Lord Archer, 63, emerged from the Hollesely Bay Open Prison in Suffolk a little after 8 a.m. and was greeted by one of his sons who drove him straight to his 17th century family country house in Grantchester, Cambridgeshire.
