U.S. soldier killed in Iraq

BAGHDAD July 21. A U.S. soldier and an Iraqi interpreter were killed in an attack here today. An improvised bomb went off and they came under small arms fire at 10.30 a.m., a U.S. spokesman said.

``Names have not been released, but the soldier was from the First Armoured Division.''
