The list of 18 feature films and 13 non-feature films that have been selected by the jury headed by the renowned director, Prakash Jha, were announced along with the National Awards today. While Amol Palekar's Marathi film Anaahat has been recommended by the jury as the opening film of the festival, also selected for the festival are seven of this year's National Award winners. This includes Prohor by Subhadro Chaudhary, Stumble by Prakash Belwadi, Nizhalkoothu by Adoor Gopalakrishnan, Singarava by T.S.Nagabharana, Shubho Muhurat by Rituparno Ghosh, Makdee by Vishal Bharadwaj and Aparna Sen's Mr. and Mrs Iyer. Also to be screened in the section are 3 Deewarein by Nagesh Kukunoor, Mouni by B.S.Lingadevaru, Abar Aranya by Goutam Ghose, Bhavum by Sathish Menon, Padam Onnu Oru Vilapam by T.V.Chandran, Ente Veedu Appontham by Sibi Malayil, Sabhalam by Ashok.R. Nath, Anbe Sivam by Sunder C., Hathi Ka Anda by Arun Khopkar and Oruththi by Amshan Kumar.The non-feature section will include 13 films including Budhadeb Dasgupta's award-winning Meeting Manjit, Goutam Ghose's The treasure in the snow: A film on Sikkim, Manisha Dwivedi's Avchetan, Umesh Kulkarni's Darshan, Arun Khopkar's Narayan Gangaram Surve and Arvind Sinha's Kaya Poochhe Maya Se.Also in the fray for the Panorama's non-feature segment are Wrik Basu's 00:00, Priya Krishnaswamy's The eye of the fish -- The Kalaries of Kerala, Bappa Ray's The Morung -- Silent witness of the brave woncho, Nizhal by Tony Sukumar and Antaheen by Ganga Mukhi.
