BCCI to select probables on Aug. 5

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM JULY 28. The BCCI senior selection committee will meet at the Wankhede Club house, Mumbai, on August 5 to pick 25 probables for the proposed conditioning camp of the Indian team to be held at the National Coaching Academy, Bangalore from August 14.

Disclosing this to The Hindu here on Monday, the BCCI secretary S.K. Nair said the conditioning camp which would conclude on August 26 would be followed by a practice camp at the same venue from September 1 to 6.

The two camps and the N.K.P. Salve Challenge Trophy one-day series in Bangalore from September 10 to 16, he hoped, would help the Indian players to prepare themselves well for the coming two Test-series against New Zealand and the 10-match tri-series, which would feature Australia as the third team besides India and New Zealand.
