By Our Staff Reporter

KOCHI Aug. 1. A Division Bench of the Kerala High Court today directed the State Government to take a decision as to what action it proposed to initiate against the four Forest Department personnel who were charged with facilitating the illegal felling of valuable trees in the Pancharakolli forest in Wayanad district, after expediting the ongoing proceeding against them. The Bench comprising the Chief Justice, J. L. Gupta, and Justice M. Ramachandran, directed the Government to take a decision within two weeks after getting replies to the charge-sheet already given to the Forest officers. The officers against whom the proceedings were initiated were Shamshul Huda, M. Murali, former Palakkad Flying Squad DFO and former North Wayanad DFO respectively, and Sugunan and Balan, former forest rangers.
