Nepalese envoy to return home

By Our Diplomatic Correspondent

NEW DELHI AUG. 1. After six years as Nepal's Ambassador to India, Bhekh B. Thapa goes back to Kathmandu where he is likely to take up a senior assignment.

Dr. Thapa, who returns to Nepal in the middle of August, is tipped to get a berth in the Cabinet or take over the job of senior adviser to Government. For both Nepal and India their relationship is crucial, and the Nepalese Ambassador to India, naturally, is a senior person.

Dr. Thapa returns to Kathmandu at a stage when the peace process between the Nepalese Government and the Maoists is delicately poised.
