Vohra in Leh

JAMMU AUG. 3. The Centre's interlocutor on Jammu and Kashmir, N.N. Vohra, today arrived in Leh on a week-long visit to Ladakh. During his stay, he will meet representatives of various socio-political organisations there.

Senior officials, including the Deputy Commissioner, Tashi Dorge, senior Superintendent of Police, Tsering Punchok, and members of political parties and religious leaders welcomed Mr. Vohra at the airport. This is Mr. Vohra's maiden visit to Ladakh. Interacting with senior districts officers, Mr. Vohra evinced interest in the history and lifestyle of Ladakh, which is becoming a tourist hub.
