50 killed in Pak. blast

ISLAMABAD AUG. 3. More than 50 people were killed and 150 others injured when explosives used in road-building caught fire and triggered a series of blasts destroying almost an entire village in northern Pakistan today. Police said an electric short circuit in the early hours triggered the fire in a house in Gayal village of Diamir district, about 200 km from the town of Gilgit. — PTI
