Letters to the Editor
Sir, George Fernandes flying in a MiG aircraft and asking the pilot to execute simple manoeuvres (Aug. 2) was an exercise in futility to impress upon the Defence personnel and the public that the plane is airworthy while it has been technically proved otherwise. Will not the open controversy be an advantage to our neighbouring enemies?
G. E. M. Manoharan,
Sir, Mr. Fernandes is a civilian and not a pilot or defence equipment expert. He should avoid spending Government resources for the sake of personal publicity.
Oravil Kunhahamed,
