Some unidentified men in a jeep, allegedly engaged by the two Revenue Department officials, overtook a bus in which the tribals were travelling and forced it to stop near Limkheda in tribal-dominated Dahod district this morning. They then took away the four tribals, one of whom managed to escape and report to the police. Before fleeing, the kidnappers opened fire at the bus killing a Muslim woman from Rajasthan in a window seat. An official spokesman said the tribal who lodged the complaint with the police identified the two Government officials present in the jeep along with the kidnappers. The tribals were released in the evening unharmed but could not say who the kidnappers were or where they were taken.
