A pencil sketch of the President, A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, drawn by R. Abdul Rahim, a Standard VII student of Thanjavur.
His sketch of the President was sent to Mr. Kalam himself, who was impressed with the precision and accuracy of the work. The President wrote back to the boy's headmistress, P. Jayanthi: "I am delighted to note the efforts of the school and to know the talents of children like R. Abdul Rahim. Please convey my greetings to Abdul Rahim for the sketch. May God bless you all."
