M. Mohideenpitchai, VIII Assistant judge in the City Civil Court, who heard arguments on an interim application filed as part of the suit by counsel for the IMA-TN and Sun TV Private Limited, orally directed the satellite television channel to telecast the programme on medical professionals and hospitals but not rate professionals or facilities. According to the petitioner-association, the channel could not rate or classify the professionals. Counsel for Sun TV told the court that the programme would not give any rating, but would only state "who is popular based on interviews by practising doctors and there was no violation of any rule of the Medical Council of India". Arguments will continue on Wednesday.
