2 AI flights to China

MUMBAI AUG. 5. Air-India will start two flights to China from December linking Shanghai and Mumbai. The flights will operate on the Mumbai-New Delhi-Bangkok-Shanghai sector. The Chinese carrier, East China, is already operating a weekly service between New Delhi and Beijing. The bilateral pact between the two countries allows up to two flights a week for either side. The Commercial Director of Air-India, V.K. Verma, said this here today at an informal press meeting convened by the new Managing Director of the airline, Sunil Aurora.
