Srinath to confirm availability later

BANGALORE Aug. 6. Indian spearhead Javagal Srinath reiterated that he would take a decision on his availability for the home series against New Zealand in the next two to three weeks. The genial speedster, recuperating from a right knee injury, had earlier opted out of the probables list and from the conditioning camp scheduled to be held here from August 14 to 26.

"I am suffering from a right knee injury which has been there for some time. I will decide on returning to the side against New Zealand in two to three weeks,'' Srinath said.

He also quashed speculation over his impending visit to England for consultation. "I did consult a doctor there during my stint with Durham but for now I am happy with the conservative method of treatment. And I still have not decided on going abroad for treatment," he said.
