ULFA leader arrested

Guwahati Aug. 7. The Army today apprehended the ULFA women's wing secretary, Bhomita Talukdar alias Deepali, in Barpeta district of lower Assam. On specific information the troops of the Red Horns Division carried out a search in Jangrinpara village and found Bhomita hiding in a house. Bhomita is also the wife of the ULFA leader, Arun Mahanta, who was actively involved in the subversive activities in lower Assam. — PTI
