Balbir Singh, BJP MP Shatrughan Sinha's look-alike, at the Parliament House on Friday. By arrangement
The incident took place in the afternoon and Balbir Singh, who has also worked in several films, was shown getting down from an Ambassador car outside Parliament House gate and entering the premises without being frisked. Apparently, the para-military personnel deployed there mistook him for the Union Minister, Shatrughan Sinha. Accompanied by an electronic media team, Balbir Singh roamed around the precincts of Parliament and was even shown talking on his cell phone. The news channel, which had staged the show to expose the loopholes in Parliament security, claimed that he had no valid pass. The New Delhi police said they had not received any complaint. The CRPF is in charge of Parliament security.
