No relaxation of admission norms: varsity

By Our Staff Reporter

CHENNAI AUG. 9. The Anna University has cautioned students and their guardians against believing assurances by private engineering colleges that the minimum eligibility for admission could be relaxed. In a press release issued today, the university said the minimum eligibility for admission to colleges affiliated to it was fixed by the Government and that any other criteria would not be acceptable or admissible.

The university would not, under any circumstance, deviate from its stand and relax norms for approving candidates, it said.
