Credentials presented

Islamabad Aug. 9. The Indian High Commissioner to Pakistan, Shivshankar Menon, today presented his credentials to the President, Pervez Musharraf, nearly a month after his Pakistani counterpart, Aziz Ahmed Khan, assumed office in New Delhi.

Mr. Menon (53) was presented a guard of honour on his arrival at the President's House here. Before his present assignment Mr. Menon was India's ambassador to China. — UNI
