By Our Special Correspondent

Hyderabad Aug. 11. Now that the Godavari Pushkarams are over, the Government has begun the exercise for the same of the Krishna river slated next year.

The Chief Minister, N. Chandrababu Naidu, during his last tele-conference here today with district Collectors and senior officers regarding the Godavari event, asked them to begin construction works such as ghats from now itself and add facilities to temples through renovation or facelift, with a view to converting them into "growth centres.''

He disclosed to reporters later that the Jogulamba temple near Alampur in Mahabubnagar district which was renovated at a huge cost after clearances from the Archaeological Survey of India, was "ready'' and its "prarambhotsav'' would take place on October 15. This was one of the "ashtadasa peethams'' in the country.

Regarding the TRS chief, K. Chandrasekhara Rao's charge of "discrimination'' against Telangana even in the case of the Pushkarams, he said, perhaps he (Mr. Rao) would see politics in everything. The Government would spend as per needs of a region and suiting the context.
