2 two-wheeler riders fatally knocked down

CHENNAI AUG. 11. Two two-wheeler riders were fatally knocked down by tanker lorries in different accidents on MTH Road at Ambattur yesterday.

The police said Raju Cherian (39) of Thirumullaivoyal was knocked down by a milk tanker near the Ambattur rail overbridge when he was overtaking the vehicle. He died on the spot.

Barely a few hundred metres away, a water tanker fatally knocked down Dinesh Babu (29).

The victim, a resident of Hospital Road, Ambattur, working in a private computer firm at Thousand Lights, was on his way home when the tanker lorry, coming in the opposite direction, collided with his two-wheeler, the police said.
