18 killed in Tripura

Agartala Aug. 14. Striking in a big way hours before Independence Day, the All Tripura Tiger Force (ATTF) shot dead 18 persons and wounded 26 in Tripura.

The militants swooped on Baralunga village in West Tripura district at about 9-30 p.m. killing 12 personson the spot and injuring as many. In another attack, the extremists raided Totabari village in the same district at about 8 p.m. firing indiscriminately, killing six persons.
