Hambali being grilled

BANGKOK Aug. 15. The Thailand Prime Minister, Thaksin Shinawatra, said today that the alleged terrorist mastermind, Hambali, was being interrogated with the help of "allied countries" at a secret location.

Mr. Thaksin, returning from Sri Lanka after a two-day visit, told reporters that Hambali had been in Thailand for more than a month when he was arrested on Monday night. He refused to give details. Military sources said he was handed over to U.S. authorities and flown out of the country on Wednesday.

"Right now we are in the process of interrogating him with the allied countries. I cannot say where," Mr. Thaksin said.
