Pak. charge against India

By B. Muralidhar Reddy

ISLAMABAD Aug. 16 . Pakistan's State-controlled news agency, the Associated Press of Pakistan, claimed tonight that India is "preparing for a military action" in the Drass-Kargil sector.

Quoting "well-placed intelligence sources", the agency said that there was an increased movement of troops and other related activity, especially in the Drass area.

"According to civilians of the area, restrictions are being imposed on their movement as well. The activities indicate preparation of a large-scale operation which, if executed, will adversely impact on the current thaw in the Indo-Pak relations and is bound to draw serious retaliation."
