India rejects Pak. charge

NEW DELHI AUG. 17. India today rejected Pakistan's claim that New Delhi was preparing for military action and mobilising troops near the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir.

A Defence Ministry spokesman said the movement of troops in the Dras-Kargil sector near the LoC was "a normal pattern of changeover of units deployed on the border".

Pakistan's official news agency, APP, quoting intelligence sources, reported on Saturday that there was an increased movement of Indian troops and other related activity, especially in the Dras area. — PTI
