STs being denied justice: Sangma

By Our Special Correspondent

NEW DELHI AUG. 19. The former Lok Sabha Speaker and Nationalist Congress Party MP, Purno Sangma, has threatened to go on strike outside the Deputy Prime Minister, L.K. Advani's residence if members of the Scheduled Tribes are not provided jobs in the Delhi administration. Participating in the debate on the no-confidence motion in the Lok Sabha today, he said he was being forced to take recourse to such action after repeated attempts to get justice for the STs had failed to bear fruit. Mr. Sangma was critical of both the Opposition and the treasury benches.
