The brighter side

Sir, — It was heartening to read about the gesture of Nitin Vyas, owner of the Madras Mahal, an Indian restaurant in New York. By offering free food to the stranded during the blackout, he has earned the eternal goodwill of Americans for himself and Indians in general.

K. Venkateswaran,

Coimbatore, T.N.

Sir, — In today's world of materialism, we Indians are second to none in hospitality and kindness. I feel proud of Nitin Vyas, an Indo-American. Hats off to him.

Sindhuja S.,

Chennai
