Not fair

Sir, — The Supreme Court judgment on capitation fee stipulates that private institutions can charge fees but must follow some norms to be regulated by the State Governments. It also says that these institutions can charge fees to cover their costs but should not indulge in profiteering. It is unreasonable to expect the private institutions to be philanthropic.
