Sensex continues to soar

Mumbai Aug. 20. Fuelled by hectic buying in IT and old economy stocks, the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Sensex today soared by another 50 points on the third consecutive day of gains to sign off at 4056.60 points.

The National Stock Exchange's (NSE) CNX Nifty went up by 9.7 points to 1,287.40 points at the end of trading today.

The 30-stock Sensex rose on the back of a rosy economic outlook. — UNI
