Letters to the Editor
Sir, This refers to the report that parents are unable to spend huge amounts to correct the defective heart of their children (Aug. 18). To meet the huge expenses for corrective surgery, a fund can be set up at the all-India level and channelled to the centres where open-heart surgery for children is conducted. And since paediatric cardiologists are few in number, training can be provided to more aspiring doctors.
