Cong. to continue efforts to `nail' NDA Govt.

By Our Special Correspondent

NEW DELHI AUG. 21. "Undeterred" by the Government's refusal to address any of the issues raised by the Opposition during the no-confidence motion in Parliament, the Congress today said it would continue with its efforts to ``nail'' the NDA dispensation. The party will also continue its 22-month-long boycott of the Defence Minister, George Fernandes.

Briefing mediapersons here today, the Congress spokesman, Satyawrat Chaturvedi, said the Opposition had resorted to the no-confidence motion in the hope of securing some answers from the Government on issues agitating the nation, but the ruling combination had not found it necessary to reply.

As for Mr. Fernandes, he said the party would continue to boycott him. Similarly, the Congress would boycott the Rajya Sabha proceedings on Friday as the Government had refused to give in to the Opposition demand for a comprehensive discussion on the Public Accounts Committee report on `Operation Vijay' and a reply from the Prime Minister.
