Fresh from the India `A' tour of England, Badani, who led the side in the one-dayers, said, "we did well on the tour. We never lost any matches and in fact we did well against one of the leading International sides South Africa.'' The Tamil Nadu player, on a comeback trail to the National team, excelled in the one-dayers and said it was an `honour to lead the side.' "Probably, I could have scored more runs but then there were a few wrong calls against me. But there is nothing I can do about that, that is the way it goes,'' he said. On reports of the opposition being weak, Badani said, "it was a mixed bag, some teams were good while others were below our standards. But a few teams did field their first eleven while many others didn't but then they also needed their rest. As for the pitches, well in England more than the pitches it is the weather that is the key, you never know because suddenly conditions will become overcast.''
