Andhra Pradesh-Hyderabad
By Our Staff Reporter
Participating in the `meet the press' programme organised for the new president by the A.P. Union of Working Journalists here on Friday, Mr. Reddy brushed aside a question about lack of coordination between the TDP and the BJP and said the parties would fight elections together to mar the chances of the Congress. He said the Congress was the main rival of the BJP. The party would see to it that the Congress was weaker than in 1999. On the question of dropping the Kakinada resolution to support the cause of Statehood for Telangana, Mr. Reddy said it was done because it could not figure in the common agenda of the TDP and the BJP.
