Toddy-tappers plan stir

HYDERABAD: Aug. 22. The Andhra Pradesh Toddy Tappers Association has decided to organise a movement of tappers in a month in protest against the "indifference'' of the State Government to their demand for 75 per cent relief in rentals on account of drought in the State which badly affected their trade.

The State committee meeting of the association under the presidentship of former MP, Dharma Bixam, on Wednesday and Thursday resented the Government's failure to hike the ex gratia in the case of fatal falls of tappers to Rs. one lakh and implement old-age pensions for them.
