Sri Lankan PM in Chennai

CHENNAI AUG. 22. The Sri Lankan Prime Minister, Ranil Wickremesinghe, was given a warm reception at the old Meenambakkam airport when he arrived here tonight from Kozhikode by a private jet.

Mr. Wickeremesinghe will inaugurate the MSSRF-Tata Virtual Academy for Food Security and Rural Prosperity at the M.S. Swaminathan Research Foundation at Taramani tomorrow afternoon.

In the evening, he will deliver the millennium lecture of The Hindu Media Resource Centre for Sustainable Development of the Foundation at the Central Leather Research Institute. Mr. Wickremesinghe and his entourage will return to Colombo by a scheduled Indian Airlines flight on Sunday afternoon.
