Nagappa episode: Parimala files petition

By Our Staff Reporter

BANGALORE AUG. 23. Parimala Nagappa, widow of the former Minister, H. Nagappa, who died in the captivity of the forest brigand, Veerappan, last year, submitted a writ petition at the office of the Karnataka High Court here on Saturday.

Ms. Parimala was accompanied by her advocates. Ms. Parimala is known to be keen on seeking an inquiry by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) into the circumstances that led to the death of her husband.

Nagappa, a Janata Dal leader, was abducted by Veerappan from his house at Kamagere in Kollegal taluk of Chamarajanagar district. After 105 days in captivity, Mr. Nagappa's body was found in the forests with bullet injuries.
