Sixty monkeys `poisoned to death'

Meerut Aug. 23. Sixty monkeys were found dead in two villages near here after being allegedly poisoned, official sources said.

The bodies of several monkeys were found scattered in the villages of Bhindwara and Bhadurpur Sathla, 26 km. from here, the sources said.

The District Forest Officer, A. K. Singh, has ordered an inquiry into the incident. — PTI
