Film-maker dead

HYDERABAD Aug. 23. Well-known film-maker, Chalasani Gopi, passed away here on Saturday.

He is survived by wife and a son. He was 58.

Gopi is best remembered for films like `Adavi Donga', starring Chiranjeevi, and has the distinction of producing films with stars like N. T. Rama Rao, Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Balakrishna and Rajnikanth in a career spanning three decades.

Members and office-bearers of the A.P. Film Chamber of Commerce and the Telugu Film Producers' Council expressed their condolences. In a press release, the honorary secretaries, K.C. Sekhar Babu and M. Prasad, said the industry had lost a very helpful person and his able, valuable services.
