Rangarajan attends workshop on blood transfusion

HYDERABAD: Aug.23. The 12th Finance Commission Chairman and former Governor, C. Rangarajan, on Saturday attended the valedictory of a weeklong workshop here on quality management in blood transfusion services for medical officers and technicians of Red Cross blood banks in AP, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.

Dr. Rangarajan said his wife and he had an opportunity to interact with people because of their association with the organisation. He praised the State branch of Red Cross for being actively involved in sanitation, health and education.

Haripriya asked the participants to remain composed and not get emotional while being involved in collection and distribution of blood.

K. Rajyalaxmi, State secretary of Red Cross, spoke on the activities of the organisation.
