Cross-border ties

Sir, — I was happy to read Justice Salahuddin Mirza's letter from Karachi (Aug. 23). We became friends through these columns in the late 1980s and have been in touch ever since. Three years ago, when he came to Hyderabad, he flew down to Chennai to meet me. Friendship transcends all barriers.
