CBI grills U.P. officials

LUCKNOW AUG. 24. Investigating the Taj Corridor case on a Supreme Court directive, the CBI questioned the Uttar Pradesh Environment Director, I.P. Singh, and other officials on the funding of the controversial project and collected documents pertaining to it.

Mr. Singh was summoned yesterday and quizzed for over two hours to ascertain who released Rs. 17 crores for the project and about the alleged irregularities, sources said today.
