Letters to the Editor
Sir, This is with reference to the article "Sonia's day out in Parliament" (Aug. 19) and the letters on them. All right-minded persons who listened to Sonia Gandhi's speech during the no-confidence motion will corroborate the spontaneous, unfeigned and laudatory comments of the author.
K.P.K. Pechiannan,
* * * Sir, I agree with all the Opposition charges. The NDA Government has failed on many fronts. Our Prime Minister proudly said that our forex reserves run into billions but it does not help the farmers who commit suicide due to debt burden. People do not want temples and cellphones. Their basic requirements should be met.
R. Sureshbabu,
* * * Sir, When the Opposition wins a no-trust motion, the Government has to step down. By the same logic, the Leader of the Opposition should resign when the move is defeated.
M.V. Narasimham,
