Letters to the Editor
Sir, The Hindu has been part of my psyche for the last 40 years. I have been reading almost all the papers, but nothing like The Hindu even though you failed to rise to the occasion during the Emergency and you have been very aggressive towards the BJP in the name of secularism. S.A. Srinivasa Sarma, Mumbai
Sir, I did not miss reading even a day's cross-examination during the trial of the `Lakshmi Kanthan murder' case, which the paper reported elaborately. I still remember how the Judge of the Madras High Court, Justice Mockett, corrected the defence lawyer, K.M. Munshi's pronunciation of the word, `alibi.' G.E.M. Manoharan, Coimbatore, T.N.
Sir, Your paper appears to be more loyal to the Nehru family and the Congress. Though it is published from Hyderabad, Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam, the letters to the editor column publishes more letters from Tamil Nadu; and in book introductions/reviews, Tamil seems to dominate even the Andhra editions. S.K. Sharma, Visakhapatnam, A.P.
