Editorial: The victory of Konrad Adenauer's Christian Democrat Party in the German elections is a recompense for the West which had sustained a reverse in the inconclusive results in Italy. He has obtained an absolute majority in the Federal Legislature at Bonn, securing 244 seats out of 487, and secured a mandate for his foreign policy that Germany should range itself in alliance with the West against Russia.
