Sir, India's unwillingness to send troops to Iraq even under a U.N. mandate must be appreciated. The U.S. and its partners must prove the necessity of war. The world is describing it as a war for oil. Rajib Dahal, Hyderabad * * * Sir, The U.S. wants international support for its hasty act. It did not mind overlooking the U.N. while attacking Iraq.
