Letters to the Editor
Sir, I cannot understand why the Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, is dragging his feet when it comes to convening the Cauvery River Authority and addressing the dire problems of the farmers affected. It is a pity that State Governments as well as the Government of India are putting all their eggs in the one basket of Information Technology and neglecting the rural sector.
