Letters to the Editor
Sir, The recent developments in the Sri Lankan peace process have given rise to a sense of despondency. Before going to the negotiating table, the bickering within the Sri Lankan Government should have been addressed. When you meet an obstinate and obdurate group like the LTTE, unity of mind and purpose is of paramount importance. Knowing fully well the LTTE's track record, how could Colombo repose faith in it? That the Tigers will stop at nothing short of a separate state is well known. K. Ramachandran, Madurai, T.N.
