Sir, — Thanks to the resolution of the Tamil Nadu Assembly sentencing The Hindu's top representatives, an opportunity has arisen to reiterate the importance of the freedom of the Press.

Sir, — The Hindu was a guiding force for the Indian national movement. The spirit of liberty and democracy propagated by it played a vital role in the evolution of free India and its constitutional bodies. The incidents of Nov. 7 were a clear case of injustice.
