Police here said two armed ultras came on a motorcycle to a highway eatery at Baxir Hat under Golakganj police station around 7.16 p.m. and opened fire on the 25 truck drivers watching the India and Australia tri-series cricket final in Kolkata, killing four on the spot. The self-styled commander-in-chief of ULFA, Paresh Barua, had threatened action against Hindi-speaking people and asked them to leave Assam following the attack on Assamese train passengers in Bihar by students there on November 11 and 12.
